For research without animal testing
Since 1989, as a pioneering and unique non-for-profit organisation, the Pro Anima Scientific Committee has been working with laboratories to promote and develop innovative research programs to improve human health without experimenting on animals.
With the vocation of encouraging dialogues and advancing scientific and medical research, Pro Anima (from the Latin word Breath):
- Raises awareness among citizens, political and economic actors;
- Publishes the quarterly magazine Sciences, Enjeux, Santé, the only French magazine dedicated to Non-Animal Methods (NAMs);
- Funds through the Descroix-Vernier EthicScience Prize research and replacement methods based on the most advanced knowledge and technologies.
