Etienne Bourgart received his Master's degree in Research Methods in Ecotoxicology, Toxicology and Public Health from the University of Grenoble-Alpes, France in 2015. This training provided him with a solid understanding of mammalian physiology, cell biology and toxicology as well as a strong background in experimentation. During his internships in research laboratories, he gained experience in in vitro toxicology methods and analytical chemistry. In 2019, he obtained his PhD in Toxicology from the University of Grenoble-Alpes. His research aimed at designing a realistic ex vivo human skin model in order to further explore PAHs mixtures on skin absorption and metabolism of PAHs mixtures with concomitant exposure to UV radiation. He then took advantage of a sabbatical break to improve adaptation skills, open-mindedness and spoken English through an adventure in South-East Asia and New Zealand. After a post-doctoral position on e-cigarettes in the Clermont-Ferrand Chemistry Institute, he joined KREATiS in March 2022 to help to the development of QSAR models for new toxicological endpoints and provide in silico consulting for our clients.
